Healing Racism in Anchorage
Join Healing Racism in Anchorage, Bridge Builders of Anchorage and the Hispanic Affairs Council of Alaska on November 12th at 5:00 pm at the Anchorage Museum for a community dialogue and workshop about racism and stereotypes.  The event is free and open to the general public.  There will be a showing of "Anchorage is our Home" as well. The AMI Center is a project of the YWCA Anchorage Women$Finances program and a national model for the YWCA USA's Hallmark Program of Economic Empowerment for Women.  The mission of the YWCA is to eliminate racism and empower women. The Women$Finances mission is to create an atmosphere of self-empowerment for women of diverse ethnic and social backgrounds so they can become economically self-sufficient.
