Money Smart - Using Banking Services Effectively
Financial education fosters financial stability for individuals, families, and entire communities. The more people know about credit and banking services, the more likely they are to increase savings, buy homes, and improve their financial health and well being. The Money Smart curriculum helps you build financial knowledge, develop financial confidence, and use banking services effectively.
This is a basic financial tools course and is recommeded as "Step 1" for financial literacy. The course is free online and completion is required to apply for our Wi$eUp Women MicroLoan. Get started today.
Wi$eUp Women - Personal Financial Literacy
A personal financial literacy seminar designed to empower women to obtain financial independence. The series is held each year during Spring and Fall. This year, we are adding a special Summer section as interest and demand was so great for our spring session! The next Wi$eUp Women Seminar series will be held Tuesday evenings in August, from 6p - 8:30p, here at the YWCA Anchorage. The cost is $40 for all four sessions, or $12 for individual sessions. For more information or to register, please call 644-9611.
You can also take Wi$eUp Women online.
Cash Flow 101® Game Night
Are you living paycheck to paycheck? Do you feel like you just work to pay bills? Then you’re stuck in "The Rat Race". You need to get your money working for you instead of you working for your money. Come and learn successful financial principles while playing a game that will teach you how to increase and manage your assets. Cash Flow 101® is the popular financial learning game developed by Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." Families welcome! Game nights are not regularly scheduled, but occur periodically with sufficient interest from our clients. Calendar for dates and times.
